There’s hardly an unattractive vista in all of Barbados, but if you’re looking to snap some interesting and unique photos of this beautiful island to share with all your friends, this list will lead you to the right places for getting those brag-worthy shots.
1. Cherry Tree Hill, St.Andrew
Cherry Tree Hill is nestled in the centre of the island and is a picturesque spot that provides one of the most unique vantage points of the East Coast. It is also just around the corner from the famous St.Nicholas Abbey.
2. Batts Rock, St.James
When you have so many beautiful beaches to choose from, it’s hard to focus on just one, but Batts Rock is a hidden gem amongst locals with an elevated vantage point. The water is crystal clear and the beach is fringed with trees and a community park where you can also get some interesting snaps.
3. North Point & Animal Flower Cave, St.Lucy
This ‘two in one’ special is always high on the list of places to visit when doing an island tour, because of the refreshing trade winds, the beautiful views and the chance of spotting a whale passing by. The Animal Flower Cave is the island's lone accessible sea cave, located beneath the cliffs and offers you the chance to get really creative with lighting.
4. Cattlewash, St.Joseph
Located on the East Coast of the island, this beach holds enough intriguing perspectives to keep a photographer clicking away for hours. Stunning natural beauty aside, the real reason to come here is to see if you can spot sea turtles nesting or hatchlings making their way to the sea.
5. Codrington College, St.John
With an entrance lined with giant cabbage palms, a large lily pond, historical architecture and spectacular views, its no wonder that Codrington College, an Anglican theological college in St. John, is one of the top spots to photograph in the island.
